Chase Checking free $200

I’ve raved in the past about how much I like J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.
I like Chase so much that I have 4 different Chase credit cards (Freedom, Sapphire Preferred, Ink, and Palladium) as well as a Chase checking account.  If you don’t have a Chase checking account yet, now would be a great time to consider opening one.

Chase is having a temporary promotion until 6-30-12 where they are giving away free $200 to open a checking account.

Click here for the offer.

To receive this bonus:
  1. Open a new checking account
  2. Deposit $100 or more within 60 days of account opening
  3. Have a single direct deposit made to this account within 60 days
After those 3 requirements are fulfilled, Chase will deposit your bonus into your account within 10 days.

To avoid monthly service fees ($10 in CA, OR, WA, $12 elsewhere) on your checking account, you need to do one of the following:
  1. Have a monthly direct deposit totaling $500 or more into the account
  2. Keep the daily balance in your account at or above $1,500
  3. Keep an average balance of $5,000 or more in your checking and other types of qualifying Chase accounts (savings, CDs, IRAs)
That’s it.  Easy money.  Deal expires 6-30-12.

Don’t forget, your Chase checking automatically links you up with the Chase Freedom credit card to activate the 10 and 10 exclusives program.

Of course, my favorite place to keep my multiple savings accounts is still with Capital One 360 (previously ING direct).  For basic checking, my favorite big bank hands down is Chase.
