March side hustles 2014

The great thing about doing side hustles to generate extra income is that you can hustle on your own terms.  The more hard work, time, and creative effort you put in, the more extra money you can make.  You can hustle as little or as much as you want, whenever you want.  It’s your extra money, and you can choose to spend it with purpose, or without.

Welcome to April, it’s another brand new month.  I always feel inspired at the beginning of each month to succeed in every aspect of my life: health, wealth, and personal well being.  Each new month gives me renewed energy, motivation, and determination.  It’s time for another summary of our side hustles from the previous month!

Side Jobs
I put in some extra hours this month at the local university as a substitute teacher.  Due to some issues with payroll, I did not receive any compensation for my services yet.  I should be receiving payment this month.

My wife is currently in-between jobs and has had some free time.  She was offered a temporary side job helping family babysit and should be receiving payment this month.

In her spare time, my wife created an Amazon sellers account and was able to sell some used books we had lying around.  We now exclusively read books we borrow from our local library
On 3.7, my wife received a $51.95 bank deposit from Amazon

Rental Income
We had a second housemate join us at the beginning of the month.  This temporary situation with 2 graduate students staying with us for the next couple of months should generate another $1,150 of side income per month.
On 3.2, I received pro-rated rental income of $580 from our second housemate

Monthly Totals:
March was a pretty productive side hustle month.
We earned $625 in straight cash back
We earned $133.17 from website income
We earned $20 worth of Amazon gift certificates from Search and Win sites
We earned $67 in cash from paid surveys
We earned $51.95 from Amazon sales
We earned $580 from rental income

All of this totals $1,477.12 from our side hustles for the month of March!  April has just started, but it’s already looking to be a big month for side hustle income!  How have your side hustles turned out?
