American Express Sync, Tweet, and Save

Did you know, American Express has teamed up with Twitter to offer some of the best deals around?  If you have an AMEX card, you really need to link it to a twitter account.  You can sign up for twitter here.

To activate, it takes 3 steps:

1. Sync your AMEX card with Twitter here.
2. Tweet the special offer “#hashtags” to load each deal offer to your card automatically.  You can put multiple #hashtags into a single tweet.  (You do not need to include the quotations, just #hashtag.  Also you don’t need to @ anyone)
3. When you make a purchase after you’ve loaded the deal onto your card, your savings occur automatically as statement credits 3-5 days after purchase.

I tweeted #AmexBestBuy10, and then got $10 back with a single purchase of $10 at Best Buy. Then I made an online purchase for a $10 Best Buy gift card to ship to my home for free.  (Yes, I got a $10 Best Buy gift card for absolutely free)

I also enjoyed lunch at McDonalds by tweeting #AmexMcDonalds to get $5 back on any $5 purchase.
