American Express Small Business Saturday

Saturday, November 24^th, 2012 is American Express Small Business Saturday, a day where you can get a $25 statement credit from American Express for making a local small business purchase of $25 or more.  This only happens once a year, and is an incredible deal.

This is essentially free $25.  You must register for this promotion to be eligible for the $25 statement credit.  Enrollment is limited so you must go register all of your eligible American Express cards before enrollments run out.

American Express branded credit cards and their authorized user cards are individually eligible to receive the $25 statement credit each.  This is because American Express provides different credit card number for their authorized users. 

Authorized user American Express credit cards from other banks such as Citibank are not eligible for the promotion since the credit card number is the same.  Corporate and prepaid cards are not eligible.

1.  Register all of your American Express cards ASAP before space runs out!  

2.  Go here to look up participating merchants. 

3.  When Saturday, November 24th, 2012 comes around, visit any participating merchant and make a purchase that is at least $25 or more.  If you're purchasing something that costs more than $25, you can ask the merchant to divide the purchase into $25 increments.  This deal even works on purchasing $25 gift cards at select merchants.

4.  Wait to get the statement credit within 8 weeks and enjoy your free money.

Me and the lady have 6 American Express cards.  This is free $150 (6 x $25) for us!  Many others have reported success with much more AMEX credit cards.
